TXT And ITZY Members Were Asked To Leave The MMA’s Early

Here’s why.

The Melon Music Awards held on November 30 featured performances from the current top artists in South Korea.

Among them, K-Pop groups ITZY and TXT delighted viewers with their jaw-dropping performances, on top of winning the Best New Artist of the Year awards.

Sadly, they weren’t allowed to stay until the end of the show. A fan camera spotted the moment when a staff member went up to the two groups and politely asked them to leave.

South Korea enacted a law in 2014 whereby underaged celebrities must stop working by 10PM. This is to guarantee their right to sleep and study.

By protecting their welfare and ensuring that they do not overwork themselves, they can grow into healthy entertainers in an environment where “night shooting” is rampant.

In TXT, members Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai were asked to leave, while in ITZY, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna also left.

Unfortunately, the underaged members were unable to finish the final acts in the Melon Music Awards.
