TWICE‘s Dahyun is currently filming a series of videos showing off her daily life. In the latest video, Dahyun showed fans her typical skincare routine.
And takes fans with her as she visits a book cafe.
And designs her own bags.
In order to design bags, Dahyun is able to draw her designs on plain sheets of paper which are then uploaded and printed onto handbags.
Before she starts drawing, Dahyun voices her fascination at being able to see art supplies that she hasn’t used since she was in school.
This [highlighter], I used it often on workbooks or [for] marking what would be on the exam or important things in school back in the day. There are lots of supplies I haven’t seen in awhile here.
From the beginning of Dahyun’s drawing process, it’s easy to see how seriously the idol takes the activity. She takes her time deciding on the first instrument she wants to draw with, settling on a marker.
The first drawing Dahyun does is of her “signature emoji.”
I love this emoji. It’s my signature.
And even though her drawing is simple, Dahyun even takes care to remove the bits of crayon left behind on the paper.
Painting with a crayon always leaves these behind.
For her next drawing, which is an aesthetic bag with purple and yellow colors, Dahyun proves her attention to detail by even identifying which part of the bag has the label. And she takes her time even to design the label for her bag.
This part is where you put the label I think. Then I want this label in purple too. I want to add a text [to it]. Something positive.
For her third design, Dahyun decides to go with a nature theme.
I’ll go with something refreshing in blue since it’s summer.
But as she’s drawing the sun, Dahyun realizes she doesn’t like the drawing and decides to start over.
Ah I don’t like the sun. I’m going to draw it again, okay here we go again.
But as she starts drawing her design again, Dahyun realizes that she finds the waves in her first drawing prettier than the ones in her current version.
Aren’t the waves prettier on [the first]? [The waves for the second are] too normal.
So after getting confirmation that she’s allowed to use as much paper as she wants, Dahyun decides to try the design again for the third time.
Can I use all the papers?
And to truly highlight her perfectionism, Dahyun even practices drawing the waves on her discarded paper before attempting it for her third drawing.
And as she tries to draw the sun on her third attempt, which she deems “okay,” she mentions to the camera that even though it’s a simple drawing of a sun, it actually requires a lot of work.
This space between [the sun’s rays] is very important.
And since she’s finally satisfied with both her waves and sun, Dahyun decides to practice drawing grass before attempting to include it in the actual drawing.
How should I draw the grass? Should I draw it like this or like this?
And she also debates whether or not she should draw more than one piece of grass and if the sizing between the two should be different.
Then should I just do one grass? Or two like this? Two?
Then there are two. Should I make one smaller or bigger? Or should they be the same size like this?
After finishing her drawings, it is clear that Dahyun’s hard work and attention to detail truly paid off, as the bags look amazing.
