Thousands Of Pandas Travelled To Seoul…And The Reason Why Will Leave You In Tears

A giant pack of Pandas invaded Seoul! And it’s the most adorable, yet heart-breaking thing you’ve ever seen.

The panda project started in 2008 by a French artist, who created 1,600 papier-mâché panda bears, which were made to represent the 1,600 real pandas remaining in the world today. From Italy, to Switzerland, and several other countries, the exhibit has been travelling all over the world, displayed in open public spaces for all to see.

Designed by Lotte Department Store, this exhibition was created in an effort to raise awareness of the challenges faced by the wild giant pandas. The new tour with 1,800 Pandas+ will be showcased as a symbolic reminder of the importance of protecting the endangered wild species, referring to the nearly 200 increase in the population of wild giant pandas since its beginning of 1,600+.

The traveling pack of pandas are making surprise appearances in cities all across the world. For more information on the exhibition venues, check out the site.
