Heechul Thanks Yoo Jae Suk for Remembering Sulli and Goo Hara in His Acceptance Speech

He also explained why he doesn’t talk about late Sulli or Goo Hara.

Super Junior‘s Heechul recently held a live broadcast on YouTube where he sincerely thanked Yoo Jae Suk for remembering Sulli and Goo Hara in his acceptance speech at the 2019 SBS Entertainment Awards.

Upon accepting the Grand Prize for his 9 years leading Running Man, Yoo Jae Suk drew particular attention by remembering the two late stars.

Amongst the guests that we had on ‘Running Man’, I’m the most reminded of late Goo Hara and Sulli, who unfortunately left this world this year. I hope they’re comfortable and doing whatever they want up in Heaven. I’m sincerely thankful to them as well.

Regarding the remembrance, Heechul expressed his gratitude live on the broadcast.

When Yoo Jae Suk accepted his Grand Prize, he mentioned Goo Hara and Sulli. I felt sad and thankful at the same time.

Kim Heechul also shared that he had difficulty talking about them himself and why he was so cautious about it.

I tried really hard not to talk about them. Because they can no longer speak for themselves. I was disgusted when people talked about them according to their own taste, and I was afraid another rumor could start.

Furthermore, Heechul also went on to thank the producers of SBS’s My Little Old Boy keeping the fact that he was raising Sulli’s cat confidential.

I’m raising Sulli’s cat. I had to reveal my daily life on the show, but I asked them to edit out all the scenes of the cat. I’m thankful for people who cherish memories of her, but I hate people fighting over who was responsible for what and having gender-related disputes.
