The idol group Honey Popcorn, whose three Japanese members were once adult video actresses, will be holding their first fan meeting in Korea.
Tickets are being sold for $69 USD per ticket and the fan meeting is limited to those 18 and over.
While the reason for the fan meeting’s age restriction has not been revealed, speculation and criticism has already begun to run rampant.
News of Honey Popcorn’s debut became a big controversy because of their background in the adult video industry and due to heavy criticism from Korean netizens, their first showcase was eventually canceled.
Despite their canceled showcase, however, Honey Popcorn successfully made their debut at a later date in March 2018 with their first mini album “Bibidi Babidi Boo”.
Meanwhile, international fans have been excited and proud of the group for their achievement.
