BTS Jimin’s “Filter” Is Getting A Dance, And They Chose The Perfect Choreographer

Did someone say Aladdin?

Upon the release of BTS‘s Map Of The Soul: 7, not only did the album itself break multiple records but the members’ solo songs as well. One of those songs was Jimin‘s Latin-style “Filter” that’s already become a fan favorite.

Since Jimin’s other songs “Serendipity” and “Lie” were beautifully choreographed, they’re not wasting any time. They’re already putting choreographers on the job, one of which fans found to have an exciting connection to the song itself.

Because nothing escapes ARMYs, they spotted choreographer Nicky Andersen‘s Instagram story, where he shared the news. In the photo he uploaded, “Filter” was open on his laptop with the words, “Back at it again with CJ Salvador,” and the hashtags #choreography and #work.

In the second photo, he shared a moment from what appeared to be him and other people practicing the choreography in question. He hyped it up by captioning it, “You ain’t ready for this…” That hadn’t been the only thing fans noticed, either.

Not only is Nicky Andersen a talented dancer and choreographer, but he’d participated in making the choreography for Disney‘s latest Aladdin movie. That ironically ties into the lyrics of the song, “I can be your Genie / How ’bout Aladdin?”

Jokes aside, with Nicky Andersen being one of the choreographers involved, the dance is sure to fit the song. If he’s worked with such big names as Taylor SwiftShakira, and Ricky Martin, “Filter” is in good hands.

Like always, Jimin will also put his signature flair on the movements, making it look that much more graceful and powerful. Are you looking forward to what kind of stage they’ll create?
