BTS Jimin’s Cheeky Reaction To A Question Made This Reporter Panic Pretty Hard

You got him, Jimin!

On January 18, 2020, BTS arrived at the Incheon International Airport to catch a flight to Los Angeles, California for their upcoming special live iHeartRadio event and The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Waiting for the members at the airport was the usual crowd of press reporters. One of them got close enough to Jimin, as he wished everyone a happy 2020 — in celebration of the upcoming lunar new year.

Jimin: Happy New Year!
Press: Happy New Year to you too!

This reporter asked Jimin if he had done sebae (세배) — which is a Korean custom for Seollal (설날, Korean lunar new year) for the younger relatives to bow to the older relatives for good luck.

Did you sebae today?

— Reporter

Then, Jimin playfully asked if that is what the reporter wanted and pretended to get down to bow.

Should I…?

— Jimin

The reporter mildly panicked:

Aigoo, no no no.

— Reporter

Jimin then explained that he got to say goodbye to his parents before heading out — as he and the members will be spending lunar new year abroad.

Reporter: I meant for your older family.
Jimin: I did, for my mom and dad!

And ARMYs can’t stop laughing at how the reporter sounded like he was about to have a heart attack as he waved his hands at the cheeky-boy Jimin to stop!
