The police is currently investigating the case, but it has been speculated that there was no foul play. A will has not yet been discovered. Representatives at SeMA released a statement, claiming that most of the workers are under work-from-home initiatives due to the pandemic. The museum also claims that the case is under investigation by the police and internally they are unable to grasp a reason for her death.

SeMA also responded to public speculation that the deceased could have been bullied at her workplace, claiming “the employee in question has been working for a year at the museum’s research department. We have never heard that she was bullied at the workplace. If workers are having a rough time, they usually consult the management department or their department heads but the employee in question has never made any requests to transfer departments or change her job scope.
