On February 22, Yang Hyun Suk of YG Entertainment uploaded a post directed at the North American BLACKPINK fans.
The post reads, “Tickets for BLACKPINK’s first North America Arena Tour in 6 cities are all sold out. Huge thanks to all Blinks out there in North America. Will do our best to be there more often.”
In coming April and May, BLACKPINK will have their first North American tour consisting of locations, L.A., Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, and Fort Worth. Since each stadium has a capacity of over 10,000 each, that means they sold out over 60,000 seats in a short period of time.
Following the news of the sold-out tour, YG Entertainment made an official statement saying, “We’re considering adding additional shows to the tour due to the fans’ overwhelming support.“
