U.S. Teen Vogue has focused the spotlight on Wonho.
In the December issue, Wonho’s debut album title track “Open Mind” was chosen as one of 2020’s Best K-Pop Moments.
Teen Vogue revealed that the “Open Mind” music video received a lot of attention through Tiktok fan-edits. These 14-second edits showed off Wonho’s half-zipped shirt with his abs peeking out as he danced along to the music.
Even non-K-Pop fans were impressed with Wonho’s strong-built body and praised him for his elegance. The magazine revealed, “this viral edit was merely an introduction to him and that people stay for his artistry, which is also mad elegant.”
Wonho released his debut mini-album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me this past September and topped the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart and also entered the top 3 in K-Pop charts in 30 countries.
This album also gained global popularity as it secured a spot on several Billboard charts including World Digital Song Sales, Billboard Albums, Album Sales, Amazing Artist and more.
He also topped the Japan Oricon chart for two consecutive weeks in the beginning of September.
Congrats to Wonho for a successful year!
