Weki Meki Doyeon And Yoojung Tear Up At The Difficulties Of Being An Idol

Weki Meki members learned what it means to be a team on a reality show.

Weki Meki‘s Doyeon and Yoojung shed tears during their interviews on WekiMeki Mohae, a reality show that exposed the Weki Meki members and brought the team stronger together.

They’re both from the project girl group I.O.I that debuted after performing well on Produce 101‘s first season.

Doyeon explained, “I didn’t know it was going to be this hard.” She added that because the group hasn’t “made it big” yet, she felt the pressure to use her experience from I.O.I to help the other Weki Meki members to do better.

Doyeon added her fellow Weki Meki members are “the reason I’m withstanding” the difficulty of being an idol.

Yoojung also cried, while explaining the pressure to do well. She stated that Weki Meki “has so many people cheering us on” and so she wants to make the group’s reality show and next album work.

Yoojung also realized the importance of teamwork and how she now tries to promote not only herself but the entire team whenever she gets the chance.

Needless to worry, Weki Meki is gaining more popularity as the group receives more exposure. It became the first girl group that has debuted in 2017 to have sold the most copies of their single album.

Weki Meki’s upbeat track “La La La” dropped earlier this year, when the group began the reality show. Check out this teamwork driven girl group’s catchy bop here:
