With their collab coming soon, they dished on the details:

Back in July, NCSOFT announced some thrilling collaborations for their Fever Music COOL Summer Project. For this project, several top artists came together to bring a new spin to classics by the co-ed group COOL.

Among them, VIXX‘s Ravi, UP10TION and former X1 member Kim Wooseok, and Red Velvet‘s Yeri teamed up to work on a new version of COOL’s “Sorrow”. And with their collab set to drop August 7, they just revealed a little bit more about it!

Explaining the differences between their version and the original, Ravi commented, “I think the new song is like a gathering of young people full of energy. Especially with Yeri and Wooseok with their fantastic visuals. They are people who send out positive and good energy.

On the other hand, Yeri, Ravi, and Wooseok wanted to keep plenty of the original song’s charms as well while also adding their own unique mark.

In the original, Lee Jae Hoon sings sharply in the male singing part and Yeri handles these parts in the remake. I handle the female singing part by Yuri.

Adding even more uniqueness to their version, they revealed they’d also created a brand new rap part!

Besides revealing details about the song, Yeri also talked a bit about their MV saying, “We also filmed an MV for the remake of ‘Sorrow’. We wish everyone a happy summer and hope everyone will feel the joy and fun of ‘Sorrow’ with us.

Ravi, Wooseok, and Yeri’s “Sorrow” collab will be dropping at 6 PM KST on August 7 but before it releases, make sure you check out what else they had to say about their collab as well as COOL’s original below:
