Seori Reveals What It Was Like To Collab With TXT On “0x1=LOVESONG”

“I didn’t want to mess up the track…”

TXT‘s new title track, “0x1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” is undeniably gorgeous, and in part, that’s down to Seori. As the song’s featured artist, Seori lent her voice to the track’s chorus, blending perfectly with Beomgyu, Yeonjun, and Soobin to create stunning harmonies. Now, in a new interview with Teen Vogue, Seori opens up about what it was like to work with the group.

First off, Seori emphasized how thankful she was to work with TXT. When HYBE first contacted her to collaborate with the group, the 24-year-old soloist says she felt a mix of worry and excitement. “I didn’t want to mess up the track,” she explained, revealing that she listened and practiced a lot to ensure the harmonies came out perfect. That said, Seori shared that she went on to enjoy “every step” of the process, from practicing the song to recording her vocals.

One of the best things about “0x1=LOVESONG” is the way TXT executed the pop-rock genre perfectly. Seori revealed that while she usually likes to listen to pop-rock, this was actually her first time trying to sing along to a song in this genre. Nevertheless, MOAs will agree she did the track justice. “I just enjoyed the moment and appreciated that I could work with great artists,” says Seori.

Seori, who debuted in 2020 after getting her start as a YouTube cover artist, also learned a lot from her sunbaenims. To ensure she could express TXT’s quintessential vibe well, Seori says she studied the group closely. “I learned a lot through their performances and their songs,” she told Teen Vogue.

Of course, it seems TXT loved working with Seori just as much as she loved the process. Seori says the members liked what she did with her voice and the song. Plus, during the group’s press conference, Taehyun stated, “I don’t think there’s right or wrong when it comes to music but when I first heard the song with Seori, I thought, this is right.” Naturally, Seori says she was “flattered” by the compliment about her voice.

Unfortunately, Seori says she didn’t have much time to talk with TXT, especially since she didn’t spend too long recording. Despite that, Seori revealed that she’s still very thankful, adding, “I really appreciate what we did together.”
