Red Velvet’s Wendy Reveals The Emotionally Stirring Way She Will Be Spending Her Chuseok Holidays

It’s a cause for celebration because Wendy deserves the best!

Chuseok has just started, and many idols are celebrating by spending time with their families.

Known as the “Korean Thanksgiving,” Chuseok has been a time where family members can reunite and celebrate the year’s successes while praying for the coming year.

This traditional holiday has also been an excellent opportunity for idols to take a much-needed break and recharge by spending time at home.

It has been announced that Red Velvet will be taking a vacation during Chuseok and the members would be spending time with their families.

Fans have been delighted that most of the members will be commemorating with their parents. Yet, many have also expressed concern for Wendy.

For years, Wendy has been the only member who has not spent Chuseok with her family.

Given that she is the only member whose parents do not reside in Korea, she has spent Chuseok by herself for years.

In 2015, Wendy justified this by stating that traveling to Canada and back would take two days.

Even though she misses her parents dearly, she insists on spending the holiday in her dorm.

Furthermore, she has stated that she does not want to impose on her fellow members by spending Chuseok with their families.

With all this in mind, fans have been worried about how lonely Wendy must have felt during a holiday centered on family.

At a recent fansign, Wendy revealed the heartwarming news that after five years since debut, she would be celebrating Chuseok with her family.

Wendy excitedly discussed that her mother is traveling to Korea to spend Chuseok with her.

Pursuing her dreams of becoming an idol has meant that she has not been able to see her family.

Taking the time to treasure and cherish your loved ones is what Chuseok is all about.

With her mother making the flight to Korea to see her daughter, fans hope that Wendy will be able to spend the holiday that she deserves.

And what better way to spend Chuseok than with the people you love!

Happy Chuseok, everyone!
