Park Hyung Sik In Talks To Star In Historical K-Drama “Golden Hairpin” As First Role Following Military Discharge

Fans could see Park Hyung Sik back sooner rather than later!

Park Hyung Sik has been offered a role in the upcoming historical drama Golden Hairpin.

On March 19, his agency United Artists Agency (UAA), told Newsen that he was positively reviewing the upcoming drama offer.

The Korean title Jamjungrok (directly translated from Hanja) means memoirs of a hair stick and refers to the habit of royals who would pull out the hair stick from their hair and fiddle with it while thinking.

The script for the drama will be written by Jung Hyun Jung and is set to be directed by Lee Jong Jae, who has worked on shows such as 100 Days My Prince.

It will be a remake of the Chinese drama of the same name which starred Chinese-Canadian actor Kris Wu played the lead role of the Prince which is being offered to Park Hyung Sik!

Park Hyung Sik found fame as a member of the group ZE:A and later gained acclaim as an actor in dramas such as The HeirsStrong Girl Bong-soon and Suits. He also shined in the historical drama Hwarang alongside Park Seo Joon and BTS‘s V.

If Park Hyung Sik accepts the offer, it will be his first acting role since he was discharged from his mandatory enlistment on January 4 this year.
