Actor Park Bo Gum has just enlisted this afternoon at the Korean navy for his compulsory national conscription. The actor previously had registered to be a part of the Naval Unit’s culture and promotional team as a pianist.
Last week, due to the considerations for safety during the coronavirus pandemic, his agency, Blossom Entertainment had requested for fans to not attend the check-in for basic training.
Although it is customary for fans to go to catch a last glimpse of their idols or celebrities before they enlist, given the recent circumstances, many have been quietly enlisting instead.
Park Bo Gum will spend 6 weeks at the basic training academy before being posted to his unit as part of the promotional team. He is set to discharge in April 2022.
His last piece of work until two years, Record of Youth, later is set to be aired on the 7th of September, at 9pm. It will be aired on tvN and Netflix, starring Park So Dam as the female lead.
