MOMOLAND’s Hyebin Confirmed To Make Her Stage Debut In Theatrical Play

MOMOLAND‘s Hyebin has been cast in an upcoming theatrical play.

Leader of MOMOLAND, Hyebin is set to make her on stage debut in an upcoming theatrical play called, Kwanbu Contact Line. The girl group member will be portraying the role of Yun Sim Deok and her tragic love affair story that is based on true events.

The storyline of the play takes place in the 1920’s and is based on the true story of South Korea’s first ever professional soprano, Yun Sim Deok. Yun Sim Deok became the first Korean to teach at the Tokyo Music School after attending and graduating from the school. It was here that the soprano singer met and fell in love with a married English literature student, Kim U-Jin. Their forbidden love affair lead to the tragic decision made by both parties to end their lives together. The two were on a passenger ship from Shimonoseki to Busan when they both jumped off the ship to their deaths.

Hyebin has been cast as Yun Sim Deok and will make her theatrical debut on stage starting March of this year. While she has been performing on stage as a member of MOMOLAND for the past 5 years, this journey as a stage actress is a brand new one for the girl group member. She will get to showcase her acting abilities in this new endeavor.
