Judge Reportedly Clears BTS And Megan Thee Stallion’s “Butter” Remix For Release

A new report from TMZ claims that American musician Megan Thee Stallion is set to be the featured artist for a remix of BTS‘s hit song “Butter.” However, the artist’s dispute with her label may be blocking the release.

According to TMZ, while Megan believes that collaborating with BTS will help her expand her international fanbase, her label believes it would not be beneficial to her career.

This isn’t the first time Megan has faced such action from her label. In 2020, Megan stated that her label was preventing her from releasing new music. This came after she attempted to renegotiate her contract, as is common for artists to do once they reach higher levels of success.

She was able to release her EP Suga after a judge granted a temporary restraining order against the label. Since then, Megan has gotten hit after hit with songs such as “Savage,” Cardi B‘s “WAP,” and “Body.”

Earlier this week, the rapper posted a video on her Instagram story of her working out while listening to “Butter.” Fans think this could have been hinting towards the collaboration, which is reportedly set to release this Friday.

The feature has not yet been confirmed by Megan Thee Stallion, BTS, or their labels.
