Lee Jong Suk’s Agency Responds To Reports Of Him Enlisting On February 28

The agency made their own official statement.

Actor Lee Jong Suk was reported to be enlisting in the army on February 28. However, his agency denied the claims and clarified that he hasn’t received his official order yet.

He will be enlisting sometime in the first half of this year, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Meanwhile, he is focusing entirely on his latest drama, Romance Is A Bonus Book.

“It’s true that actor Lee Jong Suk is planning on enlisting in the first half of this year but he hasn’t received his official date yet. It’s false that he will be enlisting on February 28.

With the mindset to enlist in the first half of this year, he is currently focusing entirely on Romance Is A Bonus Book. He will fulfill his military duties as soon as he receives his date.”

Lee Jong Suk will not be serving as active duty but a social service agent, once he is called to enlist. Due to a serious traffic accident during his youth, he was declared unfit to serve otherwise.

“During middle school, Lee Jong Suk suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament from a serious traffic accident. He’s been assigned to serve as a social service agent since a long time ago.”

Lee Jong Suk’s new drama began airing on January 26, where he co-stars alongside actress Lee Na Young. Half of the drama was pre-filmed, which means that it will not conflict with Lee Jong Suk’s plans to enlist.
