Kangta Reveals SM Will Remaster More Than 300 MVs to Bring Light To K-Pop’s History

They want to revisit the history of K-Pop through high quality content.

Recently, SM Entertainment held a SM CONGRESS 2021 online event to present and explain the vision of the company for the remainder of the year. During this event, singer Kangta introduced the SM remastering project.

In addition to the SM executives and idol group members, Kangta appeared as a host to introduce this new project. This project’s goal is to remaster more than 300 music videos and music on the official YouTube channel. 

On this day, Kangta, along with producer Yoo Young Jin, revealed a remake short version music video of “Free To Fly” for the first time. Kangta stated, “I can feel the freshness of that era when watching it in 4K quality. We want to provide a quality that does not interfere with today’s generation as we work together to remaster these videos. We hope to once again look at the history of K-Pop and contribute to the growth of the Korean music industry.”
