Kang Daniel’s Agency Submits Lawsuits Against Malicious Haters, Announces They Will Not Offer Settlements

They will show no mercy.

Kang Daniel‘s agency, KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT, announced that they have finished filing their first round of lawsuits against malicious commenters.

Back in August, they had begun collecting data and reports on malicious posts regarding Kang Daniel. They had announced that they will be taking strict legal action without taking or offering settlements, and that there will not be any warning.

In August, we announced that we will take strict legal action against malicious postings, such as spreading of false facts, sexual harassment, defamation, personal attacks, invasion of privacy, malicious rumors, and more related to Kang Daniel.

It appears they’re holding true to their words because they’ve filed multiple lawsuits that will be handed over to the defendants by the end of this week, and they will not be giving them a warning or offering settlements.

At the beginning of September, we finished compiling and reviewing our data and submitted the complaints to the Seoul Gangnam Police Department in accordance to Article 311 of the Penal Code (penalty up to 1 year imprisonment or fine of up to 2 million won (~$1,700 USD)).

The cases will be transferred to their respective jurisdiction within this week, and we will not be offering settlements or warnings as we previously announced.

Hello.

This is KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT.

We would first like to thank all of the fans who have sent us information since we announced our plans to take legal action against malicious commenters back in August.

We want to update on the current legal actions begin taken, as of September 19, against the malicious commenters who posted about our artist.

In August, we announced that we will take strict legal action against malicious postings, such as spreading of false facts, sexual harassment, defamation, personal attacks, invasion of privacy, malicious rumors, and more related to Kang Daniel. We said that we will not be offering settlements or warnings.

Ever since, we conducted a routine selection process of the malicious posts that were reported to our data collection account.

Complaints to the cases are primarily legal proceedings, and we will continue to respond to the malicious posts with strict legal action. We will work hard to strengthen our malicious post monitoring system in order to protect the interests of our artist and fans.

We will announce updates on the future proceedings.

Thank you.
