If you’re new to the drama, it also currently premieres simultaneously on Netflix every Monday and Tuesday. The K-Drama follows Shin Ha Ri (Kim Sejeong, also known as Kim Se Jeong), who pretends to be her friend, Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah), on a blind date. However, that blind date happens to be with her company’s CEO, Kang Tae Moo (Ahn Hyo Seop)! The troubles start when Tae Moo unexpectedly sets his eyes on marrying Ha Ri, still thinking she is her friend.

Business Proposal is just one of many dramas that Jungkook is a fan of. Like the rest of us, he has stayed up to date with its weekly releases. Recently, he held a Q&A on Instagram and revealed he has been watching Business Proposal.

Jungkook: What should I be doing right now?

ARMY: Binge-watch Business Proposal!

Jungkook: I already watched it all.

Of course, this got the attention of the Business Proposal director Park Seon Ho. He revealed in an Instagram post that the crew includes ARMYs, so there would be references to BTS, specifically one to Jungkook!

As the director teased, there was a reference to BTS but not just once… but twice now! In Episode 9, BTS makes an unexpected cameo in Business Proposal with their hit songs, “Blood Sweat & Tears” and “Dynamite.”

Ha Ri and her co-workers go on a hoe-sik, a term meaning “company dinner,” with President Kang. Mr. Gye (also known as Kevin), played by Lim Ki Hong, decided to mix up a round of pok-tan ju for everyone. Pok-tan ju is usually made by mixing beer and soju together by using a trick show of dunking shot glasses into beer glasses.

It translates directly to “bomb drink,” so the writers made a fun play on words, using some of BTS’s most iconic songs. First, he announced that he made the alcoholic beverage with his “blood, sweat and tears” while doing the sexy choreography.

He then surprised everyone by adding a sparkler to the mix! Mr. Gye nicknamed it the “Dynamite” drink, singing some of BTS’s song of the same name and breaking out in the choreography.

Now, there’s a shoutout for Jungkook, specifically in Episode 10, just as director Park Seon Ho promised!

Episode 6 aired, which means the show is already half way through. Thank you so, so much for watching and supporting

#BusinessProposal. I’m honestly kind of upset that I don’t have anything else to offer other than my words of gratitude.

I didn’t think to post anything on Instagram because, for one, I wanted to be careful about getting too enthusiastic and potentially making a scene. But also, I was more focused on reading the cast’s Instagram updates because they’ve been so good at promoting the show.

But after seeing BTS Jungkook’s post about us, I had to show it off no matter how embarrassing for me. So here’s a screenshot I grabbed. I love you, Jungkook-nim.

It is such an honor. In one of the remaining episodes, there is actually a line that goes, ‘A hottie like Jungkook-ie.’ Please don’t be surprised.

Also, my production assistant-who is an ARMY-is the happiest person on set. I’ve never seen a smile so big and bright on their face until now and it’s all thanks to you, Jungkook. I appreciate that a lot.

Anyway, here’s to my hardworking future.

Most of Episode 10 focuses on President Kang Tae Moo and Shin Ha Ri’s concerns about making their romantic relationship public because they’re technically boss and employee. Yet, in the previous episode, Ha Ri’s co-workers, Ms. Yeo Ui Joo (Kim Hyun Sook) and Mr. Gye, were confirmed to be in a relationship.

In Episode 10, Mr. Gye is upset with Ms. Yeo because she doesn’t want to go public with their relationship (sound familiar?). In one scene, in particular, Ms. Yeo explains to Ha Ri and maknae Kim Hye Ji (Yun Sang Jeong) her concerns as that it would give others in the company reason to gossip.

Kim Hye Ji then unknowingly proves Ms. Yeo’s point when she overhears a couple of men talking about who an unseen co-worker, Mr. Cho, is dating. She makes reference to Jungkook here, comparing Mr. Cho’s appearance to that of BTS’s maknae.

Man 1: Did you hear about that newbie that’s dating Mr. Cho?

Man 2: Who?

Man 1: The one from the admin team.

Kim Hye Ji: Mr. Cho? That handsome guy who looks like Jungkook? Who’s dating him? I’m going to ask in the group chat.

Unfortunately, we never get to see the Mr. Cho in question, but we can only imagine how handsome he is if his looks are likened to Jungkook’s!
