Jessica Jung Responds To Rumors She Is Appearing On Chinese Idol Survival Program As A Chinese-Korean

Former Girls Generation member Jessica Jung has finally responded to the backlash she has been receiving for going on a Chinese idol survival program as a contestant.

On April 3, Jessica Jung founder herself in the middle of controversy due to a photo spreading on the Chinese app Weibo. The picture is alleged to be a roster of the Chinese audition show, in the picture Jessica Jung appears.

The controversy stems from the artist being labeled as Chinese-Korean on the card. It is also written that she is a Girls Generation member.

According to MBC on April 4, Jessica’s label Coridel Entertainment released a statement saying, “Although it is true that Jessica is on a Chinese audition program, we are verifying if the rumors about her being labeled as a Chinese-Korean by producers.”

The label continued, “Because she has left Girls Generation, she doesn’t use the group’s name when she promotes.

The label would later state that they believed the photo that caused the controversy was fake.
