In an industry like K-Pop, where there is a desire and necessity for everyone to look perfect, it isn’t surprising that the topic of plastic surgery is something that has always been brought up. While many procedures are done subtly and without anyone knowing, more and more idols have shared their honest opinions and truths about procedures.
One idol who has always been honest about her history with plastic surgery is Jessi!
The idol has been honest about her procedures in the past, including having a boob job. Jessi has also shared how, as she’s got older, she has regrets about having work done and prefers the more natural look.
Yet, it seems as if, although Jessi has spoken about surgery in the past, it’s something that people can’t stop mentioning around her. In particular, even after sharing her desire not to have any more procedures done, the idol is still having work done, and Jessi has responded to this.
Jessi recently appeared in a video on STUDIO WAFFLE, and the idol spoke about everything from how she reacts to comments about the reactions to her fashion sense, her career, and much more.
One of the things the host wanted to know about was plastic surgery. He explained that netizens had shared the fact they think Jessi’s face has changed over the years.
Rather than shy away from the topic, Jessi was extremely honest about the procedures and why people get the surgery done.
It’s like this, after a few months, let’s be honest, women get things done on them. Women get treatments to look younger. I don’t really do that much.
Jessi pointed out that, like everyone, she has gotten older, and that has meant her face has naturally changed rather than because of surgery. Yet, she explained that because of her aging process, netizens assumed she had had lots of plastic surgery, which she denied.
In particular, Jessi spoke about the comments she gets about her lips and those telling her to stop putting fillers in them. Yet, she got brutally honest about the accusations, adding, “Let me be honest about my lips…”
I put in filler about four years ago. I draw my lips bigger than their original size. Much bigger. I overdraw my lips.
She then explained that there is a way to prove that she hasn’t had fillers done recently.
Let me tell you this, if you put in fillers, you can’t do this with your lips [pout]. This. The fillers are almost gone now.
Whereas most idols would shy away from sharing about their surgery, Jessi has always been honest. So, if she explains that she hasn’t had any more work done, it’s easier to believe her as she’s been so open about them in the past.
Whether she’s had more work done or not, there is no denying that Jessi looks flawless no matter what.
It seems as if idols are more willing to be honest about surgery and the hardships of being an idol that leads to having these procedures. Although Jessi has shared her past with surgery, she is out to set the record straight so netizens stop making assumptions.
