“Penthouse” Han Ji Hyun Is Against Her Character, Joo Seok Kyung, Becoming Good — Here’s Why

Does this mean we won’t get Seok Kyung’s redemption arc?

Penthouse has recently concluded its second season with a magnificent bang — literally! The last episode closed with Logan Lee blowing up right in front of Shim Soo Ryeon’s face. The Hera kids got a silver lining when it seemed that Joo Seok Kyung turned over a new lead. In a recent interview, however, the actress that plays Joo Seok Kyung, Han Ji Hyun herself, expressed her wishes for Seok Kyung to remain evil.

Although Han Ji Hyun herself is known to be the sweetest girl ever, Joo Seok Kyung is one of the villains in the drama. Having instigated school violence against classmates such as Bae Ro Na, Yoo Jenny and even Min Seol Ah, viewers could not believe their eyes when Seok Kyung helped Ro Na in the last episode.

Regarding this potential redemption arc, Han Ji Hyun feels that it would not be realistic.

I hope that Joo Seok Kyung does not become good. Isn’t she the main leader for school violence? I think that it is impossible for this to end with a simple apology from her. I hope that she becomes even eviler in season 3 and finally receives her just desserts in the end, such as going to jail or something.

Well, there’s some food for thought! Stay tuned for more updates on Penthouse and its upcoming season three.
