Financial Analyst Predicts BTS Will Enlist In The Military Together In 2022

They would enlist together once Jin needs to enlist.

A financial analyst from Leading Investment and Securities is predicting that the BTS members will enlist in the military together by mid-2022.

Yoo Seong Man, an analyst at Leading Investment and Securities, released his analysis report on HYBE and stated that he believes the BTS members will enlist together.

I expect that the BTS members will enlist together by mid-2022.

Because of pre-production of content such as an album prior to their enlistment, there will only be roughly a one-year gap [with no BTS content].

BTS is at the world-star level similar to Michael Jackson or The Beatles, so they can continue to generate hits and profit even after serving in the military.

He also shared how he believes HYBE has enough high-tier artists to fill in the time that BTS will be inactive due to their military service.

HYBE has a solid lineup of both Korean and foreign artists to fill in the gap during BTS’s military enlistment.

SEVENTEEN is next in line to follow in the K-Pop boy group genealogy, after BIGBANG-EXO-BTS. They also hold strong a strong Korean lineup of NU’EST, TXT, ENHYPEN, and GFRIEND.

In addition, with the recent merger and acquisition of Ithaca Records, they now also have Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande under their label. Starting from the third quarter of 2021 and through 2022, HYBE and their music subsidiaries are planning to debut at least 5 new idol groups, both male and female.

HYBE will also establish an absolute position in the entertainment industry through Weverse, and leap to the position of a global enterprise platform. It is expected that YG Entertainment artists, including BLACKPINK, will also be able to notice the effect of joining HYBE’s Weverse.

Back in December 2020, the Ministry of Defense approved an amendment to the Military Service Act, allowing K-Pop artists who have received a decoration of cultural merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to delay their enlistment up until the age of 30. If BTS is considered eligible for the deferment, the group’s eldest member Jin will be able to postpone his enlistment until 2022. If Yoo Seong Man’s predictions are true, that would mean the other BTS members would enlist around the same time as Jin.
