Devoted Fan Rents A $30,000 Billboard To Ask BLACKPINK’s Jennie Out On A Dinner Date

But Twitter BLACKPINK fans are not happy with his antics.

It is every fan’s dream to get noticed by their favorite bias and let’s be real, some folks have taken their measures to the extreme. And as fans continue to do whatever it takes to get the attention of their favorite artists, one particular BLACKPINK fan has taken it to a whole different playing field.

BLACKPINK.

According to Rappler, a Philippines online news site, a man by the name of Christian Albert Gaza (more commonly known as Xian Gaza) has gone to great lengths to get the attention of BLACKPINK’s Jennie.

It was recently reported that the social media personality decided to ask out his favorite BLACKPINK member on a dinner date—through a billboard that cost a whopping P1.5 million ($29,614 USD).

He uploaded the proof of his large purchase onto his own social media accounts, while sharing the caption, “Kim Jennie Ruby Jane, you are my ultimate crush. Can I take you out to dinner and make me the happiest man alive?”

The kicker? Xian Gaza reportedly rented the billboard at 62 Noksapyeong-Daero 11-Gil, Yongsan-Gu, Seoul, South Korea—which is just kilometers away from BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment.

However, Twitter BLACKPINK fans were not impressed with Xian Gaza’s billboard stunt. Hashtags #ProtectJennie and #LeaveJennieAlone have started to trend on the social media platform, as fans began to call out Xian Gaza out on his “creepy” and “sasaeng” ways.

In the midst of the outcry for Jennie’s protection, it was belatedly revealed that Xian Gaza has done the exact same thing before to yet, another female celebrity. Back in 2017, he previously used a billboard to ask out Filipino actress Erich Gonzales to a coffee date, which she ultimately declined.

YG Entertainment has not yet addressed the ongoing issue in the midst of fans’ outcry for Jennie’s protection.
