EXO is the first to enter Canadian charts following viral phenomenon Psy

Despite difficulties this past year with the member line-up, EXO has continued to prove it’s international presence as a hot boy band.

EXO entered the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 chart this week at number 98 for the week of April 25th. This makes the group the first K-Pop group to enter the Canadian chart and only follows solo phenomenon Psy’s “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” and puts the boy band ahead of other famous powerhouses such as Girls’ Generation and BIG BANG.

Exodus 200 copies and had over 230,000 streams in the nation; an impressive feat for an international act. Their latest full-length album has done exceptionally well in other countries as well entering the Billboard 200, Album Sales chart, and World Albums chart.

Unfortunately, this news follows recent controversy over member Tao‘s supposed withdrawal from the group due to filial duties and health concerns. In addition, an SM C&C employee hinted that the other remaining Chinese member of EXO, Lay, might be leaving next.
