DONGKIZ, DKB, STAYC, Yoon Ji Sung, And More Post Updates About COVID-19 Testing

It seems like the K-Pop entertainment industry has been struck with another wave of new COVID-19 cases with many recently confirmed positive tests.

Recently, K-Pop idol group D-CRUNCH members Hyunwook and O.V tested positive for COVID-19. Their label, AI GRAND KOREA, released a follow-up statement confirming that the other members and staff members all tested negative.

Kang Daniel and K-Pop idol group BAE173, who came in contact with D-CRUNCH, tested negative for COVID-19.

Other idols that came in contact with D-CRUNCH have also started to release statements regarding COVID-19 testing.

DKB released a statement online stating that their video call event would be postponed as they wait for results.

DONGKIZ revealed that although a group tested positive on music show broadcasts, the group did not come into contact with any cases because their performance was pre-recorded.

OnlyOneof revealed a statement that revealed that although the group and staff did not come in close contact with the confirmed cases, they still tested for preemptive measures. They will go into self-isolation until the results are out and will change their video call event (KB, Mill, Nine) to 8 PM KST on April 25.

Lunar Solar also released an official statement through their official fan cafe. They revealed that they will be postponing their fan sign event until they receive the results from testing.

Yoon Ji Sung was also tested even though he did not come in close contact with the confirmed cases. He will also be changing the date for his video call fan sign event until results are confirmed.

Weeekly’s Jihan, who is a host on SBS MTV’s The Show, will still be tested for COVID-19 although she did not come into contact with the confirmed cases. The offline fan sign event will be postponed until further notice.

STAYC has taken the test and confirmed negative for COVID-19 and will begin scheduled activities like normal.
