CLC’s Seungyeon Assures Fans She’s Okay After Soribada Assault Clip Goes Viral

She says they were just joking around.

The Soribada assault clip of CLC’s Seungyeon went viral on August 22, worrying fans around the world.

Seungyeon was seen walking down a hallway backstage near the photo area, where she was grabbed by a man who seemed to have timed her approach perfectly. He appeared to be violently pushing her out of the camera’s eyes.

Following this was an intense online debate on the nature of their exchange, with some saying she was assaulted and others that she was simply greeted energetically by a friend.

On August 23, Seungyeon went on Instagram to explain the situation. She clarified that nothing bad happened and she was simply joking around with a friend.

Hey guys! I know that there has been a drama about the clip at Soribada festival yesterday. I would like to make it clear that nothing bad happened yesterday at all!! I was just joking around with one of my friend in front of our green room. I think it was because of the ANGLE that made everyone think that something bad happened to me yesterday. Thank you so much for worrying about me guys but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BAD HAPPENED so there’s nothing to worry about.

Hey guys!
