BTS’s V Has Locals Searching For The “Guy In The Red Bandana” At The 2021 American Music Awards

You put V and a red bandana together and what do you get? The ultimate stan attractor. 💯

Last night was the 2021 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California and BTS were the ones everyone was looking forward to seeing both on the Red Carpet and on stage!

The boys had three coordinated fits throughout the award show, wearing LOUIS VUITTON on the Red Carpet, Givenchy for “My Universe,” and donned head to toe yellow in bespoke suits by TAILORABLE.

So it’s no surprise that BTS was trending on Twitter all night. From Suga‘s orange hair to Jimin‘s silver highlights, to Jungkook‘s piercings on full display, there was much to talk about and gush over on ARMY Twitter!

Another trending topic was V‘s dashing good looks. This isn’t a surprise as ARMY and non-ARMY alike (referred to in many instances as “locals“) can usually collectively agree on K-Pop idols’ beauty.

But it looks like V’s powerful visuals had a lot of the locals stopping to stare (at their TV screens) and looking online to find out who this “guy in the red bandana” was.

The terms “Kim Taehyung” and “BTS V” both surpassed 500,000 tweets each, with “Taehyung” reaching 1.5 million tweets and 6.6 million in engagement.

Google also saw a spike in interest in V as “V(singer)” and “Taehyung” reached their peak on Google Trends—a Google created site that tracks the popularity of top search queries.

“Bandana” and “Red Bandana” reached their peak with breakout. Which according to Google Trends means that “the search term grew by more than 5000%.

Those are some insane numbers, but are we surprised with V looking like that?
