BLACKPINK’s Jennie Confessed That She Misses Attending Award Shows—And We Couldn’t Agree More

Here’s what she said about it.

BLACKPINK‘s Jennie and fans share the same thoughts.

On September 4, a BLINK posted a comment on Weverse saying, “I miss BLACKPINK in award shows.” A common gripe that fans have with YG Entertainment is that BLACKPINK has not attended a year-end award show since 2019.

They last made an appearance in the 2019 Golden Disc Awards (January 5) and in the 2019 Gaon Chart Music Awards (January 23) where they performed “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Forever Young.”

Jennie replied to the fan, “I look up videos sometimes too 🙈” revealing that she also misses being on award shows.

Despite the full promotions of their full-length album, The Album, in 2020, the girls were notably absent in the Melon Music Awards, Seoul Music Awards, SBS Gayo Daejun, and other prominent shows that they attended in the past.

Jennie did not specify which type of award show videos she looks up. It could be their official performances or cute behind-the-scenes teasers made by fans.

Either way, we have to agree that everyone—BLACKPINK included—wants to see the girls back on stage and walking on the red carpet!
