Bang Si Hyuk To Join “I-LAND” As Producer To Help Find The Next-Generation K-Pop Artist

Who will be the next-generation K-Pop artist?

I-LAND is the first collaborative project of BELIFT Lab, a joint venture established by CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment last March. This reality program will show the process of creating the next-generation K-Pop artist and will be broadcast starting June 26 through Mnet. Many are excited to see this new type of broadcast that meshes Big Hit’s artist producing talents and CJ ENM’s content production capability.

Chairman Bang Si Hyuk will play a key role as the general manager to discover and grow the next-generation K-Pop artist. As a composer who has released many hit songs and the producer of global super stars BTS, many are anticipating his philosophy and direction for this program. Bang will be working with some of the top music producers for this program.

Bang commented, “We will help participants who withhold true potential to develop themselves and their skills. I am very excited as the general producer to see how these participants will grow and change.”

Participants that sign a contract with BELIFT Lab will go on to become an artist at BELIFT label agency. The I-LAND crew built a large-scale building specifically for the participants of this program. “This will be something totally different from the normal music programs as it will reveal the entire process and growth of the participants.”

Actor Namgoong Min will be the storyteller of the show. This program will air starting on June 26 at 11 PM KST.
