American magazine “Entertainment Weekly” gives positive review for CL’s “Lifted”

The music experts from Entertainment Weekly, a well-known American magazine, have nothing but praises for 2NE1 leader CL‘s American debut single “Lifted.” They have recently published a review on CL’s new track “Lifted” on their website.

They wrote, “CL doesn’t care about your silly Song of the Summer race—she’ll drop a solid-gold banger in the middle of August just because she can, and it’ll still sound better than most of the songs gunning for the title.”

According to them, CL and her co-writer Asher Roth (who shares management with her) mixed a Wu-Tang Clan sample with breezy vibes of Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” and M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” into one sweet seasonal cocktail.Whereas the song might not be as high beat as one might expect from CL, the track slowly transitions into a smooth groove and addicting chorus that fans have already found to be catchy.

Recently, CL is also enjoying the success of the track as it appeared on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart.
