Following the accusations made against him by his ex-girlfriend, Kim Seon Ho apologized, and as a result, he was dropped from his advertisements and broadcast appearances. However, following Dispatch’s reveal of the truth behind Kim Seon Ho and his ex-girlfriend’s relationship, advertisements that were previously taken down have started to return to the public eye.

Still, he was reportedly replaced by Ahn Byo Hyun for the upcoming movie 2PM Date, also starring Girls’ Generation‘s Yoona.

So, his fans have been anticipating his return to acting. Finally, after months, he made his first public appearance. In the spring of 2022, Kim Seon Ho traveled to Thailand to film Sad Tropics, a movie about a boxer born to a Korean father and a Filipino mother who travels to Korea to find his father, who abandoned him. At both the airport in Thailand and Korea, he was met by excited fans.

Now, we have a first look at Kim Seon Ho’s official acting comeback, and it’s not a movie.

Recently, SALT Entertainment revealed Kim Seon Ho’s solo poster for the upcoming play Touching the Void. The production will run from July 8 to September 18 at Seoul’s Art One Theater.

Now, an introduction interview and behind-the-scenes photoshoot have been unveiled. In it, Kim Seon Ho introduces himself as his character Joe Simpson and explains more about the story.

Touching the Void is an adaptation of a real-life story of British mountaineers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates‘ near-death experience as they ascended the West Face of Siula Grande in the Cordillera Huayhuash in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. Joe Simpson wrote the book documentation of the same name in 1988, and it since was adapted into a 2003 docudrama survival film.

Naturally, fans couldn’t be more excited for Kim Seon Ho and his new role.
