2PM cancels all Chinese scheduled appearances following Tzuyu scandal

In light of the recent controversial scandal of Tzuyu (TWICE), labelmate and boy group 2PM has canceled all their scheduled appearances in China.

Following the blowout of Tzuyu’s scandal regarding her nationality, Nichkhun‘s activities in China were canceled and with the scandal continuing to spread, 2PM’s activities have been cancelled as well.

On a recent airing of MBC‘s My Little Television, TWICE was given the task to hold up the flag of their nationality as the group is compromised of various international members.

The scandal arose after Taiwanese singer Huang An accused of Tzuyu for being a traitor on his Weibo account following the broadcast of the member. During My Little Television, Tzuyu had held a flag of Taiwan as opposed to the People’s Republic of China flag.

JYP Entertainment responded that due to her young age (16 years old), Tzuyu’s actions were not made with ill-intention as she has no political opinion on the matter between the two countries.

Since then, many Chinese netizens have been reported to be boycotting JYP Entertainment altogether.

Late in the evening on January 15th, Tzuyu released an official apology video which was followed by an apology by J.Y. Park as well.
