In 10th place is Red Velvet‘s performance of “Peek-a-Boo” at the 2017 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 3.99 million views. The performance was praised for the members’ live vocals, especially given the lack of backing track. “Peek-a-Boo” is one of the group’s famous songs among international fans, and Red Velvet certainly did it justice, singing live without missing a beat in the choreography.
9. Girls’ Generation – 4.42 million views
In 9th place is Girl’s Generation‘s performance of “Genie” at the 2015 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 4.42 million views. Girl’s Generation may not be active as a group right now, but their impact on K-Pop is still felt. This rendition of one of their most-loved title tracks, “Genie”, enchanted fans enough to continue racking up views year after year..
8. (G)I-DLE & ITZY – 4.72 million views
In 8th place is (G)I-DLE and ITZY‘s collab performance of “Diva” at the 2019 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 4.72 million views. It’s no surprise that these 4th generation queens were paired up for this collab—or that their stage got so many views. ITZY members Yeji, Chaeryeong and Ryujin joined (G)IDLE members Soyeon, Soojin and Minnie to performed a cover of “Diva”—originally sung by Beyoncé—and a professionally executed dance break.
7. T-ARA – 4.74 million views
Another 2nd generation girl group makes the list. In 7th place is T-ARA‘s performance of “No.9” and “Do You Know Me?” at the 2013 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 4.74 million views. T-ARA was able to charm K-Pop fans by giving them a beautiful performance with soothing vocals. Then, the performance soon turned into a rush of energy as EDM sounds filled the stage and male backup dancers joined them.
6. TWICE – 5.08 million views
In 6th place is TWICE‘s performance of “TT” at the 2016 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 5.08 million views. This charming rendition of “TT” complete with music box sounds and strings captured ONCEs’ hearts. The loud fan chants resounding through the venue are proof that TWICE’s magic enchanted everyone during this stage.
5. EXID – 5.70 million views
In 5th place is EXID‘s performance of “Abracadabra” at the 2016 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 5.70 million views. One of sexiest performances on the list, EXID’s sang an entrancing version Brown Eyed Girls‘s “Abracadabra”. The numerous female backup dancers on stage with them added even more charm to the performance.
4. TWICE – 5.81 million views
In 4th place is TWICE’s performance of “Heart Shaker” at the 2017 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 5.81 million views. “Heart Shaker” was TWICE’s last 2017 performance, and they closed the year with a boom. The positive energy and happiness that stems from TWICE performances can be felt through the screen, so it’s no surprise that the performance has almost 6 million views.
3. TWICE – 12.04 million views
In 3rd place is TWICE’s performance of “Likey” at the 2017 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 12.04 million views. This “Likey” performance was not like the others, with the members preparing a “part switch” as a gift to ONCEs. All the members sang different lines to the original version, giving everyone a chance to shine in areas they hadn’t tried before.

In 2nd place is Girls’ Generation’s performance of “I Got a Boy” at the 2013 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 13.83 million views. One of the most iconic girl group songs of the 2nd generation had to make this list. The iconic performance, which featured the group dressed in icy white, started with a powerful intro dance break. Next followed powerful vocals and an intense close.
1. MAMAMOO – 14.77 million views
And in 1st place is MAMAMOO‘s performance of “Yes I Am” and a boy group song medley at the 2017 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, which has 14.77 million views. MAMAMOO solidified themselves as one of the best girl groups of their generation with this performance. With their versatile voices, they were able to capture the charm of top boy group songs like Wanna One’s “Energetic”, EXO’s “Power”, BTS’s “DNA” and WINNER’s “Really Really”.
