5 K-Pop Groups Who Are Past Due For Their First Music Show Win, According To Fans

Hopefully their time comes soon 🙏

Earning a first music show win is a huge accomplishment for any K-Pop group. Some artists win their first one right away, while others have to wait years before receiving theirs, or sadly never do. Recently on Reddit, K-Pop fans discussed which artists they believe are long overdue to receive their first music show win, and these are 5 of their most popular answers.

1. A.C.E

A.C.E debuted on May 23, 2017, meaning that they have been in the K-Pop industry for over five years without a music show win. They’ve released several amazing bangers, such as “Under Cover”, “Favorite Boys”, and even their debut song, “Cactus”!

2. KARD

KARD officially debuted on July 19, 2017 with the song “Hola Hola”, but they’ve been active since they released the pre-debut song “Oh Nana” in December 2016. With five years in the industry, this popular co-ed group has yet to receive a music show award, even for their most recent hit, “Ring the Alarm”!

3. VERIVERY

VERIVERY debuted on January 9, 2019, giving them about three and a half years in the K-Pop industry so far without a music show win. They even participated on Road To Kingdom in 2020, which should have boosted their popularity, especially with hits such as “Lay Back”, “G.B.T.B.”, and “Undercover”.

4. Weki Meki

Weki Meki debuted on August 8, 2017, and they were highly anticipated due to members Yoojung and Doyeon who both were in I.O.I. Sadly, they haven’t seemed to have had their viral moment yet despite releasing great music like “Siesta” and “OOPSY”, and so they haven’t had a music show win yet!

5. Weeekly

Weeekly is a newer group that debuted on June 30, 2020, so they’re the youngest artist on this list. However, they really blew up in popularity with the release of “After School” in March 2021, which by all accounts should have won a music show award! They’ve continued to release great songs such as “Holiday Party” and “Ven Para”.
