4 Times BLACKPINK’s Rosé Covered Songs By Western Artists And Was Showered With Praise By Them

They complimented her many times!

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé is loved by all kinds of people—including fellow celebrities! She attracts fans from all walks of life ranging from athletes to fellow musicians. Her talent was noticed by the latter when several Western artists commended her for acing covers of their own songs.

Check them out below!

1. Coldplay

First up, British rock band Coldplay definitely noticed Rosé! They reposted her live studio take of their 2008 hit single “Viva La Vida” on their Instagram account.

Colplay praised her voice and didn’t forget to greet her a happy birthday. After all, she turned 25 years old on February 11, 2022.

2. John Mayer

John Mayer was another artist who loved Rosé’s version of his own song. She sang “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” (2006) on the first episode of Sea Of Hope.

He commented, “This is gorgeous” atop the screenshot he took of her performance.

He seemed to be so happy with the cover, he even gave her a pink electric guitar from his collaboration with PRS Guitars. This Roxy Pink (Rosewood) variant costs upwards of $2,500 USD!

3. Shakira

Rosé covered Shakira’s most famous song, “Waka Waka” (2010) on JTBC‘s Knowing Bros last October 2020.

Shakira was ecstatic with the short but sweet number, reposting the cover on both Twitter and Instagram.

Oh wow! I loved seeing you do that! Super cute! Thanks Rosé. P.S. Love your hair!

4. Alicia Keys

Last but certainly not the least, Alicia Keys also gave Rosé a shoutout after she sang “If I Ain’t Got You” (2001) on Sea of Hope alongside SHINee‘s Onew and AKMU‘s Suhyun.

The American singer retweeted the July 2021 cover and included four purple hearts and sparkle emojis with it. She didn’t forget to tag BLACKPINK’s official Twitter account either.

Rosé seems to have no problem collecting fans who have their own legions of fans!
