1. Lee Hwayoung (BOYS 24)
Homeboy fucked up so much he got canceled before he even began. An ex-girlfriend of his leaked an audio recording where he said he “feels like puking” when he meets fans and that “their fucking breath smells like shit.” He left the group soon after.
2. Siwon (Super Junior)
Siwon outed himself as a total homophobe on Twitter, after sharing his thoughts on “homosexuals” and how he doesn’t wish to “acknowledge them”. Yeah.. not sure if LGBTQ people will stop existing just because you don’t acknowledge them..
He then continued on to support a US county clerk, Kim Davis, who became infamous for refusing to issue a same-sex marriage license. Kim Davis, who also fucked up, ended up going to jail because of this.
“While I respect all genders, I do not wish to acknowledge homosexuals as I have been taught that God created Man and Woman with specific characteristics and duties. ”
3. Ryu Hwayoung (Former T-ARA)
T-ARA was swept up in controversy after controversy after they were accused of bullying new member Hwayoung. After appearing and crying on TV earlier this year, a former T-Ara manager spoke up and spilled some major tea, exposing all her lies and manipulative actions. Shame, her acting career was going well.
4. Kangin (Super Junior)
If we were to list them all we’d probably be here for a while so let’s just do the most recent fuck-ups. Last year he was fined 7 million won for his drunk driving (which wasn’t the first time) and just last month he was accused of assaulting a female at a room salon bar.
5. C.A.P (Teen Top)
No one knows what the heck C.A.P was thinking when he fucked up super bad, talking about his ‘future children’. He revealed on TV that he would raise his children totally different, if one was a boy and one was a daughter.
Spoilers: His method is definitely not something we’d recommend anyone try.
“When I’m 30 years old, I want to be a father. I’ll raise my children in a way that’s cool. I’ll give my son anything he wants and take care of him, so he can grow up well.
As for my daughter, it’s a woman’s job to stay at home. If need be, I’ll hit her and keep her locked up at home.”
6. T.O.P (BIGBANG)
Since we’re on the same topic, earlier this year BIGBANG’s T.O.P was swept up in one of the biggest scandals of 2017. He initially denied allegations of smoking weed saying it was an e-cigarette but later admitted to it. He was sentenced to 10 months in prison but got a 2-year probation. Oh, and he also needs to re-enlist in the military.
B1A4 TGM Events
B1A4 was strongly criticized by Malaysian media for performing skinship with Muslim women, despite it being against their religion. However, the true people behind this fuckup and mistake was the event organizers, TGM Events.
In 2015, TGM Events organized the fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur. B1A4 was asked to interact with fans by giving them back-hugs, forehead kisses, and holding hands while staring into their eyes.
Unfortunately, Malaysian media saw this as “molesting” the young adolescent girls and the group’s agency swiftly released a statement saying they will be more considerate and careful in the future. TGM Events also apologized and eventually shutdown due to multiple issues with concert tours.
8 . Se7en
In 2013, singer Se7en was carrying out his military enlistment but somehow still found the time to visit an “illegal” adult massage parlor with a few other friends. Not only was he caught going to one without his official military clothes (which is already a violation) but they actually left one massage parlor to go to another one!
9. f(x)’s Victoria and TVXQ’s Changmin
Can anything escape eagle-eyed netizens? The answer is no. Victoria innocently uploaded a picture of her plate of spaghetti up on Weibo. However, she neglected to see that a man’s reflection was ever so slightly caught on her spoon.
Netizens somehow figured out it was Changmin and SM Entertainment released a statement that it was indeed Changmin but that they were definitely not having a romantic dinner together. We’d like to call this the great “Spaghetti Spoondal.”
10. Yoon Eun Hye
The popular actress decided it’d be a good idea to dabble in fashion work but didn’t realize that you had to actually come up with your own ideas. In 2015, she was caught plagiarizing another designer’s work. She initially claimed it was “noise marketing” but two months later she made an official apology on the matter.
11. IU and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk
This picture probably would have broken then internet if released today. IU somehow “accidentally” uploaded a picture of her and a shirtless Eunhyuk back in 2012. IU looks like she’s in her PJs and the picture looks quite intimate.
IU claimed that the image was taken when she was sick and Eunhyuk visited, to take care of her.
12. Kim Hyun Joong
If we would be here all day talking about Kangin, we would be here all year talking about Kim Hyun Joong. This man has fucked up on so many accounts that whenever his name comes up now we’d be surprised if it was good news. The biggest shock of his career though was when he assaulted his girlfriend. And if that wasn’t enough she later got pregnant by him and texts were released of him calling her a pig and telling her to get an abortion. What a gentleman.
13. Shindong (Super Junior)
Shindong has talked about how girls should lose weight if they’re fat, even though he’s been overweight himself at times. When questioned about this, he stated that only women need to lose weight, not men.
“If someone [looked like they] had to lose weight, I would tell that person to lose weight. Lose some weight. Why can’t you take care of yourself?
When I say this, the person may think, ‘Look who’s talking’. But I’d reply, ‘I’m a boy and you’re a girl.’”
Smoking weed is totally normal in most parts of the world.. but definitely not South Korea. Especially if you’re a Korean citizen, because then you can’t even smoke weed OUTSIDE of Korea! So, when G-Dragon was caught and indicted, you know he definitely fucked up big time.
His excuse didn’t help much either. G-Dragon claimed that a fan approached him at a club party and offered him a cigarette. According to YG Entertainment, He didn’t want to be rude, so he took it and after two puffs, realized it was different from a regular cigarette and threw it away.
“I was drunk and I just thought it was a really strong cigarette. I never smelled [marijuana] before, so I couldn’t tell the difference. It looked like the regular cigarettes that I smoke.”
15. Sunggyu (INFINITE)
Sunggyu didn’t have to be on this list but a comment he once made on national TV was so ridiculous, it pissed off both Korean and international fans. He joked around that when a woman hits 30, they basically start looking like a stereotypical witch (crooked nose, giant pimple, shaggy hair).
Women were not amused. He ended up apologizing for it, but damn. It was a poor joke and one that Sunggyu definitely won’t make again.
16. Jaehwan (Wanna One)
Jaehwan came under fire after many online fans found a clip of him that sounded like he used the N-word. MBC released a statement saying that the phrase he used was not problematic and media reports defended him, claiming international fans were telling Korean people to stop using a basic Korean word.
But the real issue was not that. It was his hand gesture and where the slang Jaehwan used originated from. You can read the full story here.
17. Daniel (DMTN)
The year was 2013. Dalmatian had decided to re-brand and change their name to DMTN. The group made a comeback, launched their official website etc. and 2 months later Daniel gets caught selling and using weed. He was sentenced to 1 year in jail but this was later changed to 3 years probation and community service. DMNT has been on hiatus since.
This one’s just way too easy. She basically did blackface the entire time she was on Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar”. Turns out, she’s 100% Korean and looked completely different back when she was a student. Dispatch leaked her photos and she became a complete joke soon afterwards.
Oh yeah, and she rapped about being “the first black people in Korea”. Despite not being black at all. What?
“This is Truedy flow feel ma voice
Check ma soul I’m from Seoul, can you believe it?
Seoul City soul
The first black people in Korea
I’ve never been under but I’ve been to the real bottom
I came up here without anyone, all by myself”
— Trudy (Rap Verse)
