With years of speculation and rumor that BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon has been working on YG Entertainment‘s upcoming girl group’s debut album, it has been confirmed today that the young producer has, in fact, composed a few new tracks for his juniors.
On the 22nd, OBS News confirmed that G-Dragon has recently participated in the production of YG Entertainment’s newest girl group, reported to debut sometime in the upcoming month of November.
According to an industry official, two tracks that were composed and produced by G-Dragon will be included in the upcoming girl group’s debut album. Although many netizens and fans have been curious as to what genre these two songs are categorized as, G-Dragon has yet to reveal any further information on his works.
With both renowned producers such as G-Dragon and former 1TYM leader, Teddy, working on the production of YG Entertainment’s new girl group, the public has been anxious to hear what kind of new genres and talents they will be able to set their hearts on.
This new girl group will be YG Entertainment’s first in over five years after 2NE1‘s debut in 2009.
The agency has been exceptionally good in promoting the new group’s members prior to debut by casting trainees such as Jenni Kim into G-Dragon’s “That XX” music video and Kim Jisoo in Epik High‘s newest music video release of “Spoiler” and “Happen Ending“. YG Entertainment also included an anonymous trainee preparing for the girl group into G-Dragon’s song, “In the End”.
