B.A.P’s Yongguk, Super Junior’s Siwon and more send their prayers for Nepal

In light of the deadly earthquake that hit Nepal, a number of Korean celebrities have expressed their prayers and condolences. 

On April 25th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit in the central area of Nepal,near its capital Kathmandu and nearby city Pokhara. The government has declared a state of emergency in the affect areas, along with those affected in India, Bangladesh, Tibet and Mount Everest as avalanches were triggered by the quake.

Since the incident, more than 1,000 people are reported to have been killed on what is dubbed to be the deadliest earthquake for more than 80 years in the country.

As the government started receiving help offered by various countries around the world, a number of Korean celebrities also took light of the recent tragedy and expressed their prayers and condolences.

Despite his current contract dispute with previous agency TS Entertainment, B.A.P’s Yongguk updated his personal Twitter account with an update saying, “I hope that all of us and the international community will become one and help Nepal’s recovery from the damage caused by the earthquake. #HELPNEPAL,” which was soon followed by, “Praying for the people in NEPAL.” 

Celebrities such as miss A’s Fei and One Way’s Peter, on the other hand, went to Instagram to offer a silent prayer through their photo updates, while Super Junior’s Siwon updated his Weibo account with photos and reports from the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, the search rescue continues in Nepal as more people are reported to be trapped under the rubble.
